Riverina Cup Round 3 – Coming Up
Saturday October 15, 2016 is the final round of the 2016 Griffith Kart Club’s ‘Riverina Cup’. This annual 3 round series is a must for all keen karters to attend. Come along and support Griffith Karting, remember the more Karters the better racing! We know you will have a great time on our excellent track, and we are ready to give you a fantastic race day!
This will be a day/night meeting at the Whites road race circuit at Tharbogang.There will a full grid of classes competing including Cadets which are 7 to 12 years of age, Juniors up to the age of 15 and the very competitive seniors. The day of racing will consist of practice followed by four heats and a final raced under lights.
The Griffith Kart Club expects the racing to run through into the evening, depending on the number of race entries. We always like to conduct the finals under lights for something different for our Kart racers and visitors. With free entry and a great canteen available it makes for some great entertainment.
Racing will start off with Cadet 12’s which will see Noah Sands ,William Garner and Ky Young battling it out,with Noah being in great form and already winning the last 2 rounds the series win isnt far away.KA3 juniors will see Tysen Enness being the only griffith competitor in this class ,but after winning the last round he will be keen to do the same again.KA4 junior will see the in form Mikayla Boots take on Nicholas Puntoriero,with Mikayla taking the win last time out. Nicholas will have to be at his best to get the win.
The seniors will start off with KA3 light which will be awesome race with Jason Severino,Byron Woolner,Stewart Weigand,Ben Jones and Connor Vidler all being great form at the moment.Jason and Byron had a great battle at the last round,but with Stewart Weigand back in the picture this round he will be a true threat to the boys and make for some great racing.KA3 heavy will see another local battle between Jason Bailey,Blake Snaidero and Jarrod Prendergast,they been trading places over the series so the final round should be be no different.
TAG 125 restricted light will be very interesting with James O’Callaghan,Dean Demarco,and brothers J.R and William Wood and will see Reno Mezzomo making a come back.James has been in great form of late so the other drivers will have to be at there best to knock him off the top step.TAG 125 restricted heavy will see John Macey and Ben Boots take on the out of town competitors.John has been in great form of late so he will be hard to beat.
The Griffith Kart Club invites everyone to attend this race meeting, entry for spectators is free and the club always encourages visiting drivers and their teams to come and race with us. All in all it will be a great day’s racing with some spectacular driving and exciting entertainment assured. The more competitors and spectators who join us for the day will mean a stronger competition and better racing.
The Griffith Kart Club provides full facilities, including free camping with toilets and showers available for those who wish to camp on-site friday night. Our famous canteen will be in operation with hot food and drinks available at very reasonable prices. Entry is free for spectators and crews with racing commencing at 2pm through till late so come out and take a look at this great sport.

We are going to have a bonfire after the race meeting to finish off the Riverina Cup and get in before the warm weather starts. It will be great to join in and have a chat about the days racing.
