Bob Hinde Memorial 2019 – GKC Report
On the 19th and 20th of July 8 members of the Griffith Kart Club traveled to compete in the Bob Hinde memorial, this event is the biggest in NSW so far this year with 121 competitors. The Griffith club was very well represented in the novice class with Joseph Belardo, Brodie Tropeano and Jack Charles.
Jack And Brodie raced well all weekend and with a bit more practice the podium won’t be far away. Joseph Belardo had a great weekend finishing on the podium, but the highlight of his weekend was being crowned the overall Junior Champ for the weekend. In the Junior Light Class Griffith had 2 competitors, Hugh White and Luca Belardo. Both boys raced well all weekend with Hugh finishing 4th and Luca with a 5th which was a great effort.
Ky Young stepped up to the Junior Performance class for this event, with some close battles and bettering his PB’s each race he finished the weekend in 5th place. In the TAG Restricted light class Peter Andreazza and Grant Brown fought hard all weekend in a huge class of 16. With this being the biggest race meeting these boys have competed at, they did an awesome job and with some more practice and racing the silver wear won’t be far away. The next big meeting on the calendar will be the Gold Cup in Dubbo and then followed by the 5th Round of our own club championship on Saturday the 7th of September.
